Casa Dante This delightful residence is located about midway between Via Notarbartolo and Via Dante. By following Via Dante you can reach the center of town, Piazza Politeama and Via Libertà, about a half-kilometre away, in ten minutes on foot (there are also buses). In the other direction, Via Notarbartolo, and its train station, is even closer. The nearby Notarbartolo station has a direct link to the airport. The main train station, easily reached by metro train from the Notarbartolo station, offers easy connections to Cefalù, and Agrigento, with daily national departures for Rome, Naples, Milan and elsewhere. If you're staying in Palermo, walking is easier than driving. But if you've arrived by car, the apartment has a garage (located across the street). there's a small but modern kitchen, but if you don't savor the idea of cooking during your stay, the restaurant on the street right downstairs offers great meals for as little as €10. One of Palermo's most tempting ice cream and pastry bars is a few blocks down the street. Sicily's chaotic, but fascinating, regional capital, is worth seeing. Monreale is nearby, but so are many other interesting attractions. At this price, it's most economical if your group includes at least three people (up to six). One of the great advantages of this charming residence is that, for less than the cost of a week in a three-star hotel, staying here permits you to live like a Palermitan --and isn't that part of the idea of visiting a place like Sicily? This modern apartment in central Palermo is equipped with air conditioning and comfortably accomodates three couples --in a loft bedroom, with two convertible double couch/beds in other rooms. Though located on the second floor of a centuries old building, it's perfectly modern, actually very spacious and airy, having been restructured recently. It's the perfect place if you're going to use Palermo as a base to visit sights locally and in this part of western Sicily, especially if you're traveling as three individuals, or two or three couples.
