Customized Group Tours What it is: No need to describe weddings, except to say that Sicilian ones are special. We introduced Sicily to the idea of foreign couples getting married here, and we look forward to introducing you to Sicily, the world's most romantic island. Doing it: A wedding in Sicily usually presupposes a Sicilian honeymoon to follow. It is necessary to arrive in Sicily several days before the wedding date to process legal documentation required for the marriage, something which allows you, in effect, to begin your "honeymoon" early. Bridal parties in "foreign" countries are typically smaller than what you would plan "back home" --witnesses, parents and a few other guests. We usually plan weddings to take place during the week rather than on a weekend. (This is a common practice in Italy.) Everybody on our specialised wedding team is a native English speaker. A special page of your life deserves at least an entire page on this site. What it is: A tour of Sicily featuring cooking classes, winery tours and wine tastings. Plenty of eating, naturally, but also insights into Sicilian cuisine, with visits to open-air street markets, wineries, farms and other elements that have influenced Sicily's culinary culture. Doing it: Send us your requirements and we'll plan your tour. We need at least six students to plan a general cooking tour, though we can include cooking classes as part of a personalized itinerary. We also offer a scheduled cooking tour several times each year. What it is: Essentially, you explore part of Sicily with a group of fellow hikers or bikers. Doing it: It's a great experience, offering hikes on Mount Etna and biking in the scenic Etna region. Our guides are geologists and other professionals familiar with the things you'll be seeing. You'll stay at rustic country retreats in some of the most beautiful parts of Sicily. What it is: A week of sailing on a sail craft (small yacht) or sail catamaran in the Aeolian Islands. Doing it: Some of these craft can accomodate a party of eight. We'll plan your trip within Sicily (transportation to the base port, etc.) as part of our itinerary service. For details, visit our sailing page. What it is: Sicily offers some of the world's most beautiful settings for international conferences. Doing it: A range of services are available --multimedia facilities, interpreters, fine hotels, catering, even sightseeing. Let us know your group's needs and we'll suggest an approach to meeting them. Our conference staff is managed by native speakers of English (not Italians who happen to speak a few words of English as a second language). In fact, we have more English speaking conference personnel than any other conference organizer or travel service in Italy. Visit our conference page for more information. Italian Language Study Vacations What it is: This is a one or two week sojourn in Sicily to study Italian in an intensive course, with plenty of time to see the sights. Fluency in any foreign language takes time, but this course, using the communicative method, is a great place to begin. Doing it: To schedule a class, you must be part of a group of at least eight students. We do not usually schedule classes for individuals or for groups of fewer than eight students. Some have horses, others have vineyards or olive groves, while still others are in wooded settings. A few even have swimming pools or close access to a beach. Doing it: We only recommend the better establishments. Often, a stop for lunch on a farm is included as part of a tour of Sicily. Most of our services are available directly from us.
