The Aeolian archipelago is a chain of literally "mythical" volcanic islands (described in Homer's Odyssey) in the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Sicily and west of Calabria. It's one of the Mediterranean's most interesting trips. We specialize in "localized" nautical charters in Italian waters north of the Sicilian coast. And yes, our skippers and staff speak English. Sail charters are based on weekly rental, with weekend departures and arrivals at our base ports between Cefalù and Milazzo on Sicily's northern (Tyrrhenian) coast. Some of our craft sleep as many as ten. Charters may be scheduled from April through October. Ports of call will be found on the largest of the Aeolian Islands (Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi), as well as Ustica and the Egadi Islands (Favignana, Marettimo, Levanzo), just west of Sicily. Among the newer sailing craft are the Oceanis 473 Clipper (four cabins sleep eight plus space for two crew members), the Oceanis 393 Clipper (three cabins sleep six plus two crew members) and the Sun Odissey 35 (three cabins sleep six plus two crew members). The sail catamarans in the fleet are the Lagoon 380 and 410 (sleep six adults in three cabins) and the larger Lagoon 470 (sleeps eight plus the crew in four cabins). Rates are based on the charter itself, not the number of participants, and we don't compose "mixed" groups (of people unknown to each other) simply to arrive at a "full" crew of six or eight. Whether your "crew" is two persons or eight, the price is the same. It's obviously lower per person if you have more participants. Rates for all craft include electricity, outboard motor, GPS, auto pilot, linens, CD player. Diesel fuel, moorings at ports of call, damage deposit and other items not included. Rates are based on one-week (7 day) rental. Please contact us for details.
